An Introduction's Story

Yesterday, right before the clock struck midnight, I was thinking about writing something very special. I fell asleep with the thought of you in my head and from that moment, I knew I had to write this. I was looking for the right sentences to start this short introduction, but all the words known in the library of my brain were not enough to describe the entangled truth residing in my heart. It seems to me that my heart speaks a foreign language, my brain does not know of {but even if they do not understand each other quite well, I still believe they are star-crossed soul mates}.

I wanted this introduction to be shocking, yet kind and polite. I wanted it to provoke fire, ice and everything in between. I wanted it to be yours and only yours to keep. And just like a desperate child or a coy girl playing hard to get, the only thing I truly want {now and forever} is to be the conqueror of your attention.

Yours now and forever,

~D

Seasons' Greetings

This is not about being gentle, but fierce and fervent. Candid, never unkind; mind awakening and sharp {to the point it hurts no more than a harmless bee sting in the midst of spring}.

The dog days are over.  The dog days are done. Wake up, wake up! It may be summer in your brain, but not in your heart. It’s beating and begging to shed its rust-colored leaves because autumn, my love, is already here.

All I ask you is to not fear change. Change is vital for the season of flowers, bloom and growth. Change is constant, like the ceaseless tides of the ocean that roar to the moon and silently crash against the soft sand. Change is welcoming winter and its frigid storms, without ever succumbing to its cotton white fur {hold on tight dear, there is no chilly soul that cannot be fixed with a hot cup of time}.

Let the sun eternally shine and wash away with warmth every season of thy life.

The Light

“Happiness. It was the place where passion, with all its dazzle and drumbeat, met something softer: homecoming and safety and pure sunbeam comfort. It was all those things, intertwined with the heat and the thrill, and it was as bright within her as a swallowed star.”

Loud and Clear

There has always been this urge to return home, whenever I am in the minuscule and intermittently boring town of State College. You see, there’s nothing compared to the warmth and affection your family and good old friends can only bring, the aroma of a freshly cooked meal made with pure and simple love and oh yes, the comfiness of your own room, where singing at the top of your lungs and dancing around like if there was no tomorrow are gladly welcomed by your sweet and marshmallowy pillows.

My heart belongs to Panama, or so I believe in this precise moment {which is everything that counts}. I can’t imagine myself living in other place rather than here, my beloved isthmus {unless everyone I love decides to move elsewhere}. I would not trade it for anything or anyone. Did you hear me loud and clear? Anything or anyone.

Nothing about my feelings of staying here for the rest of my life has changed a bit, but right now some part of me wants to return to Happy Valley. For the first time I am going to live in an apartment; there will be no one behind me cleaning my bathroom or making sure I am following dorky dorm rules. It will be Dori against the adversity and I am looking forward to accept this new challenge. It’s not that everything will suddenly change and radically explode like the Little Boy, if you know what I mean, but I am in hopes of getting rid of a couple of moldy and every so often intoxicating habits.

{Even if Time and Study will always try to get in our way, I know that our star-crossed love will grow fonder this coming fall. Oh dear Kitchen, I will try to cook and bake as often as I can, as you are one of the few who know how to liberate me from nerve wracks and stress itself. I am already dreaming of a warm homemade dinner to keep my stomach in bliss and a decadent chocolate cake to mend my broken heart. I will not fail you Kitchen. I give you my word.}

Well, only one month and a half to go and I’ll be back in State College. Time passes by in a blink of an eye, just like a train on its track.

I’m still not ready to leave the comfort of my house, to go to this place in the middle of nowhere {*clears throat*, I mean Pennsylvania} that has been my “home” for the past two years. But I am more than ready to go back to the people who have carved their names on the branches of my little heart and have made this experience worth the while. At the end you're not made from the past-midnight hours you spent cramming for that Biochemistry exam, but from the hours you spend learning about other people; their charms, their uniqueness and whatever they have inside their top hats to give your life a certain touch of magic. Ah and that's the beautiful art of magic, it's always unexpected.

See you there or see you then,

Findings of a Time Traveler

I am in love with photography and words {as you already expected}. Tumblr has always been a good friend of mine, one of those that come and go, but always sticks around. Tumblr's main purpose in my life was to provide photos for my Pinterest. I would open Tumblr whenever I needed new and refreshing photos for my boards. C'est tout. Pinterest has been my photo gatherer of choice for the past few years, since it keeps my photos {not really mine} well organized and in perfect harmony.

I knew people would also reblog quotes, sayings and other ideas on Tumblr, but I never really stopped and looked for that, until now.

So, there you have it... A new Tumblr for a couple photo findings and pretty words. And please don't worry, I will keep posting my favorite quotes here On The Railway of Time. Findings of a Time Traveler is dedicated to those who are craving for more word love and in need of soul gratification.

I Don't Need Your Promises

I don’t believe in promises anymore, as they take place somewhere in the distant future {and right now no one can afford to believe there is one}. I don’t need your promises; what I need is your word. By giving me your word, you give me a sense of security and relief that whatever you tell me will be done in the present and in the hands of now {or at least that’s the way it’s supposed to be}. This isn’t me being pessimistic about the future, this is me acting as a wake up call.

 Earth calling {your name}.
We really need you here.

I give you my word,
~D
