I hate goodbyes, they are always sad, but I guess time and life must go on... Besides, a new chapter is already waiting for me!!!
These seventeen days in Brazil were the best! I had a very good time and I will definitely miss everything and everyone! The delicious food, every kind of chocolate, the different cities (Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Foz) , playing cards at night, the crazy and bipolar climate, the Ibirapuera park and last but not least, the family. The Lira's were so good to me, they welcomed me with opened arms and made me feel like home. It was a great pleasure to spend these two weeks with them! I'm sure I'm going to see them again, maybe in two years or maybe five, only God knows...
So, see ya at the next stop!

Iguassu Falls
Last Week in Sao Paulo
JULY 20
On Friday we went to Ibirapuera Park with Romulo and Toby. We just wanted to chill and ride bikes, but we had a slight problem: Romulo didn`t know how to ride bicycle. So, Clau and I decided to teach him this basic and easy skill. Of course he took some time to learn the ropes, but after fighting with balance, trying to keep his back straight, falling and getting up again, he finally did it! Romulo now knows how to ride a bike :)
Biking around the park was very exhausting, so we stopped in the snack bar and bought a bowl of Acai with strawberries, condensed milk and granola. It was just as great as the last time! I really wish Panama had Acai!!! After our little treat, we returned the bikes and went back home.
JULY 21
The next day the whole family and I went to a Chinese restaurant called Chi Fu. There I met Claudia's grandfather, uncle, aunts and cousins. The food was deelishhhh, very similar to the Chinese/Cantonese food we have in Panama. We ate Chow Mein, Chow Fun, fried chicken, duck, tofu with vegetables, shrimp and white rice of course. I ate too much! I couldn't even breathe hahaha!
After our great banquet, we went to the Museu do Ipiranga to meet Nio. The Ipiranga Museum is gorgeous from the outside, it has this classy European structure with fountains and everything. Actually, it reminds me very much of Madrid. Anyway, we didn't have the chance to enter the museum because it was way too crowded. So, Nio took us to a bowling alley near Liberdade instead.
Later on, we all went to the Asian Town to drink Boba tea in a mini tea station. The owner of the tea bar is Nio's friend, no wait a minute, EVERYBODY in the Asian Town is either Nio's friend or family. It was really funny! He would just say, "Oh that's my cousin over there" or "Oh there's my uncle". LOL!
Like at 6 p.m. Nio left us in the metro station. We took the metro and then we took a bus to go back home. When we got home, we both took a shower and started to get ready for the disco! At 11 p.m. we headed ourselves to the Sheraton Hotel. The place was very cool, I really liked it! I really have to say that Nio was very nice to us, he even took us back home!
So that's how we ended the night (at 4 a.m.)
JULY 22
On Sunday Mr. Lira, Mrs. Lira, Romulo and I went to the Chinese tennis club, while Claudia and Luiz stayed home studying.
When we got there, Romulo showed me the place. It has about 6 tennis courts, a huge dining room with kitchen included, a little house where people play Mah Jong and Chinese checkers and a pool. He told me that every Sunday he goes there to play tennis and have lunch with his family and other families. While the ladies cook, the gentlemen play tennis and the kids watch TV.
After the little tour, Romulo and I decided to play tennis, but we didn't have balls. He made me follow him to the other side of the court, where you could only see bushes, hills and a vast bed of grass. As we walked further, dirty old balls suddenly started to appear. We picked up around 5 balls and took them to the court. The first few hits were nice, but some minutes later the sun decided to shine brighter and radiate more heat. So, we quickly got tired and went upstairs to drink some water.
At 1 p.m. we had lunch. They had all sorts of Chinese food, Korean food, Brazilian food, and anything you could ever imagine. Everything was really yummy! After eating, went back home, picked up Clau and the bags and headed to the bus station to go to Foz.
