Kings and Queens

On Friday we arrived in La Loire at 7 p.m. This place is famous because of the castles built by the times of François I's reign.

The next day, we went to two castles , Chenonceau and Azay Le Rideau. Both are really majestic and beautiful and are surrounded by bodies of water.

Today in the morning, we went to another castle named Chambord. To be sincere, it was not very different from the others, but I can tell you an unbelievable fact : the castle's park is bigger than central Paris!

Now that we're talking about Paris, guess where we are now...

Au Revoir Rouen!

Today is our last night in Rouen. These three weeks were wonderful, we had a really nice time in this city and off course, we'll never forget every little single thing we did, ate and loved here. I'm sure everybody will miss their foster families, having classes at the AF, eating at Le Rectorat, and walking around the streets we already knew by heart.

At 6 p.m we had a "farewell party" to say goodbye to all the people who made us feel just like home.

Paris and Madrid, Here we go!!!

Bowling Night

I just came back from the bowling alley, it was really fun!

Just 12 of us played bowling, others played pool and table hockey and the rest... ate, as always.

FUN FACT:
Eating is the official sport here in Rouen, since every little thing that goes into your mouth is simply delicious and perfectly made (101% tested and verified).

Well, if you think these are real glasses, you are wrong! Everything's just an optical illusion. In these 2 photos we're standing outside the store, the glasses are just stickers stuck on the window panes and there are mirrors inside the store, where you could virtually see yourself with the glasses on. Cool huh?

Caen

This morning the bus picked us up at 9:30 a.m in a place called Boulingrin. According to me it's a public parking lot... Well, in simple word it's the place where we usually meet before going somewhere far away from Rouen.

Today we visited the Normandy Museum, which emphasizes on the World War II. We also had the opportunity to watch a short film about the D Day and the Battle of Normandy.

Later on, we went to the Pegasus Memorial Museum. There they have an original Pegasus bridge or a Rolling bascule bridge. These bridges played an important role in limiting the effectiveness of a German counter-attack in the days and weeks following of the invasion.

Goodies :)

ALORS, ON DANCE

The other day... my friends from the other class had to go around Rouen searching for clues and answers to complete a quest. The ones who won the quest got a prize and the ones who lost got a penalty! The thing is that these little fellows (Viraj, Guille and Ivan) had the honor to dance and sing for us Alors, On Dance by Stromae.

Dock

Today was simply awesome!!!

After our dejeuné at Le Rectorat or well known as our "Niko's cafe" in France, we walked to a place called Dock Lasers, where we played laser tag.

For the ones who want more information about laser tags... here's the definition:
Laser tag is a team or individual activity where players attempt to score points by tagging targets, typically with a hand-held infrared-emitting targeting device. Infrared-sensitive targets are commonly worn by each player and are sometimes integrated within the arena in which the game is played.

We were divided into 3 groups, the yellow team, the blue team and the green team. Each one of us had different names, so at the end of each game we could see our scores on the tv. Guille and Carlos were the winners, Guille won the first round and Carlos, the second.

Later on, we went to a shopping mall called Dock 76, where our families picked us up at 9 o clock.

Siembra Un Palo Que Sea de Mamey!

While cooking..........

Pays d'Auge

Yesterday we went to Pays d'Auge, famous for its calvados production.

After lunch, Dominique gave us 20 minutes to "explore" the place and its huge garden. Just beside the parking lot, we found a pretty weird pony. We were amused with that little creature that jumped and galloped around and around.

Then, we went to a restaurant called La Bucherie. After dinner, we went to a disco called D3, where we had a really nice time!

Essence of Panama

Last Friday during class, we had a little presentation about advertisement. We had to create a product and explain why we chose it and how it worked.

Then we had to make a Panamanian dinner for our foster parents here in France. We all took the bus and Carlos guided us to the place where we had to cook and serve the food, which is in Mont Saint Aignan.

Madame and teacher Yapsia divided us into groups and asigned different tasks to each group. For the menu we had: chicken, "arroz con guandu", "bistec picado", "yuca al mojo", fried and baked tortillas and pineapple upside-down cake. The food was exquisite, I can't still believe that we actually made everything by ourselves! ...and the teachers haha

We also made a little presentation about our country and sang the national anthem.

Yummmyyy!
