Le Bec Hellouin

Today's destination was Le Bec Hellouin abbey, which is a place where monks live. It was founded in 995 by d'Herluin, who is now burried in the abbey church of the establishment. Even though we couldn't see the monks nor their rooms, we definitely appreciated the gothic and classicist architecture of the great building. We also learned that certain places of the abbey were recontructed because of the Hundred Years War between France and England and deterioration.
